"Just my luck" 2010-03-28
By Ellie (nj)
The one I got must be a lemon, or it's a piece of junk and the reviews are all made up! I've had mine for 4 months, used it maybe once every 2 weeks for several hours for listening to downloaded music. Last night, it DIED. The screen is black, the blue ring is brightly lit, but I am unable to DO anything with it. The on/off/home button doesn't do anything. I researched long and hard, read all the reviews and made an informed decision. Since I knew what my intentions were for this item, I opted to go with something more cost effective.
I should have just gone with my other option.....

"Great for Audiobooks-but Silver is actually Gun Metal!" 2010-03-25
By Chi-lover (Ca)
I am very pleased with this little MP3 player ... other than the dark ugly Gun Metal color. I expected the pretty Silver White shown in ALL the photos!

Also it's a tad on the heavy side, too much so for my neck, so I also have it in a pouch, alleviating some of the weight by pining it to my clothing.

The third disappointment, is that, the full instructions booklet was not included, but rather customers are told to download it themselves via the net. Really? ^%&#@!!!!

What I do like about it is the Audiobook function ... which I just happened upon. Although I would like to turn the bass down, and there very well may be a way to do just that! I won't know until .... I GO AND DOWNLOAD THE INSTRUCTIONS MYSELF!

For all I know there may be "bookmarks" as well ... ???

But what I have deciphered has been relatively easy, and the sound is excellent. Especially for bass lovers ( which I am not one ). As for the color ... I ordered a clear protective case and that will soon be covered in something pretty, perhaps rhinestones.

Still ... HONESTY in advertising would be appreciated ....

"Best Bang for the Buck!!" 2010-03-17
By Holly J. Saunders (Fiddletown, CA)
I did alot of research and this little gem is the best mp3 player for the money I could find. It is simple and the screen is large enough that I can even read it without my cheaters.
The included software Rhapsody looks sort of like itunes. I like my windows media player for syncing to the player.
Audiobooks is my gig. The sould is great. The 8gb is hard to fill.
Great Product!!

"Great When it works, not When it doesn't" 2010-03-16
By E. Slater (Boston, MA USA)
The Sansa fuze is an all around great mp3 player. It's VERY small, has easy to use browsing, and works awsome. I used mine for 2 years without a probelem, then something happened.

I pulled it out of my pocket next to my computer and attempted to turn it on-it didn't work. There is usually a reset button if the screen turns off or it freezes, but mine was dead. I called customer support and tried the resets, talked the the support agent who was helpful, and it was not working. It only has a 1 year customer warranty.

The main point is, watch out. It may randomly break, even though it works well for a while.

"The product is good in all aspects except one." 2010-03-13
By Pawel Nowicki (Wayne, NJ)
I like the product although I only owned it for a day. The recording functionality is awesome, the display is cool, every thing is good about it otherwise but one flaw for me made me return it. This is just a suggestion if you are thinking about buying one. If you are like me all the time on the move, skiing or jugging and you think about putting this player in your packet, every time it moves around will turn the screen on b/c the wheel is so easy to turn. Locking the device doesn't run of this function. This drains the batter much faster then needed, and increases the run on duty cycles.
