I bought this iPod Touch as a gift for a user who has little "computer/gadget" experience, and he really liked it. He said that he was surprised to learn that iPods can also be loaded with video, all kinds of apps; not just music. It sure beats his lugging a laptop around for the fun of it!

Previously had the Zune HD and it got stuck in the loop of upgrading the software and could not recover. Got my money back and bought the iPOD which is awesome though missing radio, it's still a great device

I had a a 30GB iPod Video for about 3 years and recently decided to upgrade to the iPod Touch 32GB. I love it! Aside from the apps, and it's ability to access the Internet, I appreciate being able to Shuffle my workout playlist. It's very intuitive and easy to use. Thanks Apple!

"Nice looking gadget not very practical" 2010-04-09

I bought this 32G iTouch primarily to play music when having guest over for occasions, so I had to buy a docking speaker. Together they set me back about $400 which I find unnecessarily expensive. It can be used for e-mail and games but you need a wi-fi connection, so you are stuck using it at home, there is no mobility with it. So if you have a laptop or PC you don't really need it. iTouch only works with iTunes so you need to download that, then register it with Apple. After that it can only be used with the very computer you used to register it. Then Apple will send you an email every day to remind you that you need to buy additional customer service as it expires after 90 days ( I find it inconsiderate of consumer, the product is very expensive as it is). And if you are not used to Apple products you are going to need help in the begining as the process of syncing it with iTunes is somewhat cumbersome. So after less then a month since i purchased it, my iTouch sits un-touched somewhere in the house ( i don't enven remember where it is). Even my 8-year-old got bored after playing games for a while. On the other side, Apple does a good job making the iTouch a tool for consuming even more Apple products (iTunes, App Store), which serves itself well, but serves not so well us the consumers.

The LCD faded out within 10 days of ownership. Amazon was great with their service and replaced it within a couple days of my reporting the defective product. I only hope that the replacement product does not encounter this issue, and I hope if it does have an LCD problem that it will happen quickly, within a warranty period. Oh, and I cannot understand why Apple does not put a camera with this device, that would make it a great device in the end.
