"Very Happy With This" 2010-04-20

This unit is a great balance of features vs. value! Long battery life, comes with car and wall plug, plays all formats, wide screen, parental lock and more. My only complaint is with the parental lock (a feature I considered a must.) It does ot lock out the eject button. And the eject button is front and center, the easiest button for my toddler to press.

"Another great product by Sony!" 2010-04-08

I have no complaints about this portable DVD player. The image is crystal clear and the sound is just perfect. Even better, this product is able to take all the elements of use and abuse by my four-year old. It is easy for her to use and carry everywhere. I highly recommend this product!

"Very pleased!" 2010-04-04
By Ben (Schenectady, NY)
After looking at a few other brands... Philips etc... I felt the SONY was probably the better bet. I think I was right. I haven't had this one long, but after a few viewings I'm sold!

The buttons are easy to use, and very responsive. The remote is light, and uses a lithium battery (included-- and installed!!) and has all the buttons (except power) that you'll need. One of the things I like, is that with the default screen-size setting, the unit knows which aspect ratio to display as soon as the disc warms up. No fiddling should you happen to pop in a standard (4:3) presentation. And like my regular SONY DVD player, it remembers the place on the disc where you stopped and powered-off, so it can start it from there instantly next time around. (not sure though if it remembers multiple discs like my full-size unit does)

The audio is very loud & clear, as is the picture!

The ONLY gripe (and perhaps small) is the power button. IT'S kinda small and if you need to grope for it in the dark, you're liable to push on the "hold" button instead.

Other than that, no issues at all. (at least so far)

"Lemon" 2010-04-02
By Robert Pennock (PALM HARBOR, FL, US)
Within 10 days picture froze and no menu option. Was repalced but new one cuts off when playing long MP3 cds. Flush buttons on player very awkward in operation. My previous Mintek a far superior machine.
