This product is really easy to use, and has made our long car trips a lot easier! I highly recommend it.

I have owned this just shy of a year (purchased in June 2009). I felt compelled to write, after seeing so many negative reviews, we have really enjoyed this product. I'm sure there is something fancier, but for the price, i think it was a great deal. there are some key features missing that i listed under cons, but if you just want a movie for road trips ( & not every day use) i don't think you can get a much better deal.
PROS
Easy set up.
Reliable (we use it about three hours 1-2x per month)
Can use in hotel room, easy to hook up to hotel tv, or just plug in the wall
Great value for two screens (i paid $99 at target)
CONS
Does not support a battery pack (so you can't use it on a plane, you must have a power outlet)
Does not save where you are when you shut the car off, so you have to go through everything again & start movie from beginning. Very slow to navigate/ff/rewind from the on-board controls.
Very limited menu/can be a little hard to start cd
NO remote control

No matter what resume setting you set, or how you power the unit down (switch vs. removal of power), it will always start at the beginning of the movie the next time you turn in on. This is a deal-breaker for me since my kids have watched the first half hour of the movie we put in there over a dozen times and are really curious how it ends.
Also, the 2nd LCD turns off after some interval even though an active signal remains present - you have to power cycle the 2nd screen to get it to come back on.

Great value - great quality. Very durable - my 2 yr old son kicks it frequently while watching from his car seat. Only down side is most DVDs do not simply start to play automatically - so, after loading the disk an adult has to find and press play - easy if done before you start driving, not easy from the front seat.

I didn't like the dvd player simply because it did not have a rechargable battery in it. It is really important for us to be able to transport the dvd player or just pause it and continue after it. Otherwise it is very light weight but did not try to use it just returned it right away.
