Samsung offers this new ultra portable DVD player, which plays Mini-DVD's and displays images on a bright 2.5" TFT LCD Color screen to deliver a highly Mobile DVD viewing experience. The DVD-L25 uses a rechargeable Ni-MH Battery for 2.5 hours of playback, and supports standard Alkaline Batteries as well. It can also play MP3 / WMA Audio files and can display JPEG images (digital-photos). This is among the tiniest DVD format players available.One of the smallest portable DVD players available--at 4.3 x 6.7 x 1.3 inches--the handheld Samsung DVD-L25 also sports an incredibly cool rounded design with an integrated, bright 2.5-inch TFT LCD color screen. It plays 8cm (3.5-inch) Mini-DVD discs (not standard, full-sized DVDs), so you'll need to record video and audio content from your PC or disc library to Mini-DVD disc. The DVD-L25 will also play MP3 and WMA digital audio and JPEG digital photo files as well as 8cm (3.5-inch) Mini-CD discs.
It runs on 4 AA batteries and includes rechargeable NiMH batteries for up to 2.5 hours of playback. It also is powered by the included AC adapter. It sports and easy-to-use joystick controller on the front of the unit, as well as a small speaker. It includes a single headphone jack.

If you notice the date from the sellers who wrote these revies, they are at least 2 years old. I have ordered at least four of these 'supposed' portable mini dvd players(I say 'supposed' because not one of them has arrived), over the past year and a half, and have yet to recieve one. This is the biggest scam online I have ever seen, if you have the opportunity to buy one of these players do not buy them on amazon. And definetly do not buy from the seller, 'book1998', or 'J&R music and computer world'. As it states in the title of the review, 'SAVE YOUR MONEY!'

I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old son and am looking forward to giving it to him for Christmas. However, I only rated it 3 stars because I'm having a terrible time finding very many movies on mini-disc.

THE MOVIES ARE HARD TO FIND FOR THIS MINI DVD. THE BATTERY LEAKED AFTER A YEAR. SO I HAVE IT USED IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW.

This is the only video player I have found that runs on regular replacable AA batteries. We travel with kids to England from San Diego so a movie player that dies after 1-2 hours isn't worth the baggage space. This item allows you to bring a pack of batteries and you are set for 10 hours non stop viewing! Big draw back is that it only plays "mini" disks which basically means you have to buy your own blank mini disks and then convert your existing dvd/video into your mini disk using software on your pc. If you are up for the tech challenge the results are worth it!

I bought this as a possible travel DVD player, and misread the features: it doesn't play normal DVDs, only the small ones ("Mini-DVD") that you can't get any content on. It's not great for kids as it doesn't shut off automatically after a period of no use, so the batteries get drained every time my daughter uses it. I would have given it 1 star, but it includes a nice set of 4 AA rechargeables and charger so I gave it an extra star.
