"My Fave" 2010-04-22
By A. N. Patterson (MD)
I love Zunes, bought a Iod and hated it. The only thing that I hate is that I didn't see the 120GB when I purchased the 80gb. It was only a couple of dollars different but I am satisfied either way.

"Zune unreliability" 2010-03-18
By Peter C. Seitz (Jamesville, New York United States)
I bought my Zune in Dec. 2007 and I just got the dreaded error 5, contact customer service. After calling them and trouble shooting it, for a mere $159 I can send it in and have it fixed or replaced. I paid approximatel $250.00 for this barely over 2 years ago and it's shot. Do NOT buy this product without an extended warrantee, this was a complete waste of money for me.

"Zune Rocks!!!" 2010-03-13
By Michael Johnson (Moberly, MO USA)
This is my 2nd Zune 80 GB MP3 player. The sound is great. I have never had any dead pixels. It is very easy to use. I love the features that come with the PC software. There is only one problem and this is just a personal problem. I have a LOT of Japanese music. The Zune doesn't support uni-code. So instead of Japanese fonts appearing on the screen, I get a bunch of squares. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix this. But the Zune is a great player and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great MP3 player.

"Sold a piece of junk" 2010-03-13
By Tommy Edoson (Kansas City, MO USA)
I recieved the Zune 80 in reasonable time, item was in good shape...it appeared to be as advertised, like new. I chargied the battery fully and attempted to operate the Zune. It turned off unexpectedly. time after time. After charging the Zune again for the recommended three hours, I attempted again to operate the zune. The only time it operates for more than thirty seconds, is if it remains plugged into the AC adapter! The product itself may be very good, but this one is a piece of junk. I will not buy another from THIS vendor at any price.

"Factory Defective, or Something More...? Oh Well, i Like It" 2010-02-17
By D. Holland (Humboldt County, CA USA)
First of all, i have to say that i love this device. Having such a huge space to view all of my media is so great.

i received it in great shape--as far as i could tell, there were not even any slight scratches on the back as described. The screen is clear and the headphone jack works properly. There is one minor flaw on the device body i can give, and that is that the "hold" button is somewhat flimsy. When activated, it lifts slightly and feels loose. Not sure if this is a design flaw or was merely subjected to misuse; regardless, it still works fine.

Now, speaking of flaws, there is only one that actually affects performance: the battery life. i sincerely hope that all Zunes of this generation were not manufactured with the amount of juice that mine has. On a full charge i can usually get about 2-4 hours of listening time at the recommended volume. Even when it has been turned off, sometimes it will "die" overnight. As you can see, the battery is not very strong or even consistent.

Now, as i said earlier, i maintain the possibility that this merely a design flaw responsible for by Microsoft. This is mainly because i have only been able to contact one other person who has ever owned a Zune, and they also acknowledged poor battery life experience. Besides, there has to be some reason why these things don't sell on the big market!

Overall, great product, works wonderfully for entertainment purposes--just remember to bring your power chord.
